that they need to start putting up their Christmas decorations this early, its only beginning of October for goodness sake!
Okay let me start again.
Just been to do my weekly food shopping and the entrance to the supermarket guess what - Yup a bloody great christmas tree complete with giant stuffed Rudolf and a desk offering a 'Wrapping Service' and going through the double doors to enter the store what do I see? The latest must have toy or games console maybe, or what about a stand with the latest DVDs and Cd's, maybe even some new books from the top writers and childrens annuals - NO dirty great stacks or beer and lager - the real meaning of chritmas that - cos its only for kids aint it and what child doesn't want to find a case of beer at the end of their bed come christmas morning.
So having completed my shopping and waiting at the checkout I says to the girl, no young woman on the till 'So why all the christmas stuff so early' "Its cos we've been picked to launch christmas this year" 'Sorry? Launch Christmas, I always thought it came at the same time every year, in December or have they brought it forward this time?' "No its cos managers from all the other stores are looking to see what they should be doing in their stores and don't tell me I've been told off for not wearing my christmas uniform this morning it should be a red shirt not this one" so at this point the lady loading her shopping on the conveyor belt joins in with "Its too early if you got little ones and everythings so expensive and they say Mums should stay at home - How?" right, so by now I've packed and paid for my shopping and as I'm leaving to store thinking that that will be the last time this year I am going to this particular store for anything I'm going to shop locally, okay it might cost a bit more but I'm sure that in the long run it will work out a dam site cheaper than being tempted to buy this box of biscuits that tin of toffees and chocolates (esp when I go on the way home from school) I'm sorry this is the way I feel but christmas belongs in December not October and November. Bah Humbug.
